Martha is a cards & payments leader, an immigrant, a social entrepreneur and a philanthropist with years of experience in cards & payments, NGOs and social entrepreneurship.
Martha is the Founder of European Women Payments Network (EWPN), a Pan-European network dedicated to bringing together women from all EU/EEA member states, working in cards, fintech & payments, with a core objective of championing diversity & inclusion in the sector. In 2018, she Founded African Women in Fintech & Payments (AWFP), a Pan-African network dedicated to bringing together women from all African countries working in cards, fintech and payments.
In most recent years, she worked as Global Card Scheme Compliance Director for Payvision and Client Advising Manager for TSYS. She is also Member of Board of Directors at RemitFund, an award-winning non-profit that transforms remittances into social impact & Advisory Board Member at Some Hub, a startup support center in Voi, Kenya, providing co-working space, incubation and business seminars for young innovators.
A passionate philanthropist, she founded a non profit making organisation, Beyond Innocence Foundation (BIF) to build the 1st safe house & rescue center in Taita, Kenya for sexually abused minors aged between 0-16 years. She serves as the Founder & Chair to the Executive Board.
