Liesl Bebb-McKay

Liesl is an innovator and an activator. Prior to moving to Belgium as a Pathfinding Partner, she was the Head of the Rand Merchant Bank’s FOUNDeRY – the Investment bank’s disruptive technology initiative that focuses on disruptive innovation. Liesl believes that innovation excellence requires a deep belief in possibility combined with a culture that allows the genius of each individual to be activated within the collective.

Apart from creating and building the FOUNDeRY business, she is also one of the founding member of RMB’s gender equality initiative – Athena – a platform where she shares her passion for women in the workplace. Athena’s goal is to change the face of leadership in Financial Services, and is an achievement at the heart of her passion for this important topic.

A CA(SA) by training, her career began in the finance industry and consulting before she discovered her love of banking and innovation at Credit Suisse in London. Prior to running the FOUNDeRY, she focused on strategy for RMB’s Global Markets business and has been involved in change initiatives across the full spectrum of the Investment Banking business.

In her spare time she is a mom of a teenager, reads anything she can, blogs about her passions, travels as much as possible and loves a little creative time.
