Kate Adamson is the Head of Mortgage at Plaid, the technology platform that connects financial applications and users' bank accounts. Thousands of companies, like Venmo, Robinhood and Acorns, use Plaid's suite of APIs to build applications that enable millions of consumers to lead healthier financial lives. Today, one in four people in the US with bank accounts use Plaid. Since joining Plaid, Kate has united many of the largest and most influential mortgage players — such as Fannie Mae and Ellie Mae — with Plaid’s new API technology, a key step in modernizing the mortgage application process. Under her leadership, Plaid launched its Assets product, bringing near-instant asset verification capabilities to the mortgage market.
Prior to Plaid, Kate was an investment banker at J.P. Morgan where she also spent time in the Office of Regulatory Affairs. Kate holds an economics degree from Princeton University.
