Ellie is a Payments SME in KPMG's Payments Consulting team, with extensive experience in delivering large-scale transformation within payments and banking.
Ellie was a Delivery Lead for the New Payments Platform (NPP), the industry-wide initiative to implement real time, data rich payments across 65 Australian financial institutions. KPMG acted as the Programme Management Services Organisation in this five year programme, the largest systems upgrade and technology implementation in Australian financial services history. Within this role, Ellie:
-Managed the central industry mobilisation and national launch of the platform, including readiness assessment testing, incident management rehearsals, operational readiness and live proving, advising the Board to make a considered Go Decision, through to safely launching NPP to the Australian public.
-Chaired the Customer Proposition and Communications workstream, managing all customer experience, front-end development and product management, stakeholder engagement, PR, marketing and internal communications aspects of the NPP. -Provided assurance to a number of large and medium banks on their internal programmes, including core architecture upgrades, connection and access to the central infrastructure and programme planning. -Programme Management, governance and stakeholder engagement across 13 participating banks, providing independent advice to the NPP Australia Board.
Since recently moving to the United Kingdom, Ellie has supported the design and mobilisation of a payments operations Target Operating Model, transformed the payments accounting and reconciliation procedures at a large UK bank and supported a number of banks and Fintechs produce commercialisation strategies, drive operational efficiencies and develop new products that leverage the capabilities of RTP, Open Banking and new-world payments technology.
Ellie has presented at Women in Payments Symposium in Sydney and London, and was a member of the Rise Up Academy at Money 2020 Asia in March 2019.
